Excerpts from a concert featuring Pt. Shivkumar Sharma & Rahul Sharma. Tabla Accompaniment by Pt Anindo Chatterjee and Mukundraj Deo. Panditji played Raag Vachaspathi first, where during the aalap, jor and jhaala he was accompanied very ably on the kanjira ( a south Indian classical percussion instrument) by Sri V Selvaganesh. Percussion accompaniment for the jor and jhala is normally by pakhawaj (if at all), but the kanjira is a modern innovation and an enjoyable one too.
