Washinton DC Police Share Firsthand Accounts of US Capitol Siege
Washington DC police officers have given first-hand accounts of the US Capitol siege on January 6. These officers risked their lives attempting to hold off a violent mob of Donald Trump loyalists.
Daniel Hodges thought he might die after he found himself trapped between security doors as rioters tried to break in.
Metal pipes, pepper spray and other weapons were used against police during the raid. Mike Fanone described the close-quarters struggle as being like a ’medieval battle’.
