Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (Genesis) Playthrough - NintendoComplete

A playthrough of Sega’s 1990 Disney platformer for the Sega Genesis, Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse. Castle of Illusion is one of those games that I remember from my childhood that I’ll always have a soft spot for. It was the first game in Sega’s Illusion series, and (I believe) one of the first 16-bit Disney-license based console games. As you might expect, it really impressed when it first came out. Compared to other Mickey games out at the time (Mickey Mousecapade, anybody?), this was pretty stunning with its fluid animation and use of color. The game itself wasn’t much more than a derivative of the Mario formula, but it was so well done that nobody really cared. The game was adapted to the Sega 8-bit platforms (with some pretty big changes), was ported to the Sega Saturn, and remastered on PC, PS3 and X360 a few years back. _____ No cheats were used during the recording of this video.
