Ukraine purportedly forces Russian soldiers to flee village of Staromaiorske

Footage posted on Ukrainian Special Forces and Armed Forces telegram channel claims that Ukrainian soldiers pushed back Russian forces from the village of Staromaiorske. Russians fear being caught in a pincer movement as Ukrainian forces advance on a village in the Donetsk region. Pro-Kremlin sources said the settlement of Urozhaine would be virtually impossible for Moscow’s forces to cling onto after they were forced to surrender in nearby Staromaiorske. President Volodymyr Zelensky celebrated the capture of Staromaiorske, which sits on the Velkyka Novosilka axis of Kyiv’s counter-offensive. His armed forces are now believed to be attempting to attack Urozhaine the west and north of the settlement.
