Tigran Vartanovich Petrosian (Armenian: Տիգրան Պետրոսյան, Тигран Вартанович Петросян) (June 17, 1929 -- August 13, 1984) was a Soviet-Armenian grandmaster, and World Chess Champion from 1963 to 1969.
