10cc - I’m Not In Love - 1975 - With my fretless bass

The song “I’m not in love“ was a hit when it came out in 1975, and it’s still an iconic song of that decade as a stand out in the album “The Original Soundtrack“. The story is quite interesting, the kind of song that was supposed to be something else and almost didn’t make it out... but eventually found its way with this choir of voices which give that airy and unique emotion. As for the bass, it was not very obvious at first what my fretless bass could add up to the song. The song contains a bass line in the middle but it’s rather restraint. So here’s my take on this, which I hope add up to the feeling that song left us with.
