Emergency warnings have been issued for 64 of the 81 provinces. As a result of the raging disaster in Izmir, the coastlines in the Karsiyaka and Konak areas were flooded. Many streets were under water, stopping traffic. The first floors of buildings and shops were damaged. In Antalya, a strong storm wind blew away trees. Coastal waves beat off piers and boats. Wind gusts reached up to 100 km/h (62 mph). Parts of the city were flooded. Gardens, roads, sidewalks found themselves in the water element. The situation was aggravated by heavy rains. Dozens of cars were broken down. Residents are not the first to overcome such a situation.
