MALEV Li-2 (Douglas DC-3) FULL FLIGHT | Boarding, Startup, Takeoff, Landing @ Budapest | Trip Report

Step back in time as we board a historic Ikarus 55 bus, taking us accross Apron 1 at Budapest International Airport, to meet HA-LIX, a Li-2T built in 1949 in Factory 84 in Uzbekistan. Board the airplane with us, find your seat just behind the cockpit, and listen to the Shvetsov ASh-62 radial engines start up! Enjoy a quick taxi to the runway followed by a powerful takeoff taking us overhead river Danube for a sightseeing flight, enjoying a spectacular view of Budapest’s main attractions. Listen to the engines spooling down as we start to descend for landing back at Budapest Intl, and enjoy a short cockpit visit before returning to the terminal.
