Odd Cycles (1938)

Kidderminster, Worcestershire. Close up shot of Mr Tabb of Kidderminster working on a wheel of a bicycle - he makes novelty bicycles. Several shots of the triplet cycle with Mr Tabb, his daughter and his nephew riding it along the road. Strange cycle with the back wheel smaller than front and with mechanism which makes a ride quite wobbly and bumpy. The next strange model has footballs as wheels. Mr Tabb riding his ’football bicycle’. Mr Tabb and his daughter Peggy riding the world’s smallest tandem - their knees are touching their cheeks. Several shots of Peggy riding the same tandem with her nephew. Succession of shots of Mr Tabb showing and then riding the world’s smallest bicycle - very odd. Note: The same man appears with his miniature bicycles ten years later in Pathe Gazette issue 48/45. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
