The sticky little crustaceans attached themselves to long piece of driftwood which was swept in by the tide on a beach on the west coast of St Mary’s, Isles of Scilly, on Thursday morning. Lucy McRobert, a mum-of-one who lives on the archipelago’s largest island, was fascinated to find the creatures on the sand. “They are alien-like.
