The Politics of Sexual Difference: Slavoj Žižek, Mladen Dolar, and Alenka Zupančič

The German Department and Deutsches Haus at NYU present “The Politics of Sexual Difference“ with Slavoj Žižek, Mladen Dolar, and Alenka Zupančič as part of NYU Skirball’s ongoing series SKIRBALL TALKS. This public event consists of three half-hour talks, and is presented on the occasion of two new publications: Incontinence of the Void by Slavoj Žižek, and What IS Sex? by Alenka Zupančič. Monday, November 13th, at 6:30PM in Skirball Center for Performing Arts, 60 Washington Square South Slavoj Žižek is a senior researcher at the Institute for Sociology and Philosophy at the University of Ljubljana, Global Distinguished Professor of German at New York University, and international director of the Birkbeck Institute for the Humanities of the University of London. Mladen Dolar taught for 20 years in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, where he now works as a Senior Research Fellow. He is the author of a number of books, most recently (with Slavoj Žižek) Opera’s Second Death
