Earlier today, Kurz’s successor Alexander Schallenberg presented himself to the House of Representatives following his inauguration yesterday, and stated that he is determined to “continue the successful content-related work of recent years“ with his coalition partners. Sebastian Kurz resigned from his position as chancellor on Saturday, following mounting pressure regarding a corruption investigation. The Greens invited their governing coalition partners to consider Kurz’s replacement earlier in the week. The current governing coalition between the Greens and the Austrian’s People’s Party is set to continue.
