For many of the cast, the project was especially personal. While it does not shy away from heavy subject matter, What Rhymes With Reason is ultimately a story of hope. For Gattlin Griffith, that was what made it worth making. “I personally struggle with mental health every day,” Griffith said. “This story is important, and I’m honored to breathe life into it. The darkness is in all of us, but does not have to define us.” What Rhymes WIth Reason is produced by Kim Dawson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Jacob Snovel (Out of Exile), and Nathan Gardocki (Reagan). Emmy award-winning director Kyle Roberts helms the teen adventure, fueled by a passion for John Hughes movies and a calling to encourage youth across the world. For Roberts, the key to What Rhymes With Reason has been earning the right to be heard by teens and families. That requires honest performances, an energetic script, and a killer soundtrack. Roberts’ “radically family-friendly” approach to filmmaking provides something entertaining and meaningful to be enjoyed by kids and parents alike.
