Let’s All Go To The Lobby (1957)

Before every screening at the Vista Theater they show this little animated jingle to encourage movie goers to get some popcorn, candy and a Coke. Here’s the episode we did with the manager of the Vista ( Officially known as Technicolor Refreshment Trailer No. 1. The carefree short was made in 1957 as an animated musical advertisement produced for Filmack Studios and directed by Dave Fleischer. The company estimates that 80% of independent theaters have screened the film at various points, and it is likely the most viewed snipe ever. In 2000, Let’s All Go to the Lobby was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant“.
