Scientists believe a 520km asteroid crater is buried in Australia

New scientific evidence suggests a 520-kilometre asteroid crater is buried deep in Australia with possible links to a mass extinction event, according to ANU Astrophysicist and Cosmologist Brad Tucker. “It’s kind of a big step into understanding the history of the continents and how it’s evolved – the life events that have happened as well,” Mr Tucker told Sky News Australia. “So there’s a little bit more work to do to confirm if this is really the case, but a big step forward in understanding this big part of the history of the world.”
