Mass murder of Simferopol’s Jews at the Simferopol-Feodosyia road (1)

Leonid Belyavskii, a Holocaust survivor who was born in Simferopol in 1931, describes the conditions in which he and his mother, along with other Ashkenazi Jews of Simferopol, were held at the Medical Institute collection point in December 1941. Belayvskii testifies how on December 13, 1941 the collected Jews were transported to an anti-tank trench located on the Simferopol-Feodosiya road. He describes the mass shooting and how he and his mother survived.
