R. A. F. Raf Survival School (1957)

Men put some pine branches inside so they do not have to sit on the snow. This is one of survival exercises of the Royal Air Force school situated in Bad Kihlgrub, Germany. The school, run by the Second Tactical Air Force, was established to train aircrew in methods of survival in near Arctic conditions. Men are left with whatever they would have if crashed in those conditions. All food they have is the emergency rations attached to the parachute which is enough for around 14 days.
