What is the JHS Tacobolt?

In 2012, JHS released the first version of the Superbolt, an amp-in-a-box pedal meant to give you the sounds of an old Supro amp. Mason Stoops had always loved that sound and picked one up immediately. Around 2015, Josh sent Mason a custom-printed Superbolt with a taco on it, but there was a surprise. We had set the trim pots incorrectly and created an interesting gated fuzz effect. We made a mistake, but Mason loved it! Now it’s time to say goodbye to the Superbolt, but in celebration of its life, we’re releasing a limited edition version tuned to the original “incorrect” specs of Mason’s TacoBolt.
