AS-202 - Separation of S-IVB from S-IB and ignition

Footage taken on board the flight of AS-202 on 25 August 1966. AS-202 was a Saturn IB vehicle carrying an Apollo CSM. The footage shows the separation of the S-IVB second stage from the exhausted S-IB first stage, where the camera is mounted. Soon after separation, the single J-2 engine can be seen to ignite, burning liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen.
