Gabe? The Update? {TF2 Animation}

Gabe Newell reminisces about Team Fortress 2. Generously sponsored by TF2CASES. 🔱 Trivia, some information? Read! As for the personal side, I never really know about the value of a work I created until the first comments roll in, however the reactions of my friends gave me plenty of courage to release it as it is - I think they saw some “spark“ in it - You know what I mean? The idea behind this video was to portray Gabe Newell not as a money-hungry caricature, but as a humorous, slightly cynical game-dev legend - but also someone standing in the shadow of his own legacy. As for the technical side, I animated the last minute of this video in a single day, just like the first shot of the video (creating the semi-realistic Gabe hair beard in Blender certainly bumped the lamp; {for SFM users, adding $alphatest $nocull to Your texture does wonders}). The last scenebuild features a few characters that I made in Blender (took 40 hours, however it will save me 100s of hours in the future) - they all have got the same rig, so now animating crowds of mid-poly characters became a lot easier. That perticular .dmx session, (including the data for the animations) capped at 1.7 GB in SFM memory, which is noteworthy, considering the detailed buildings, clothes, food, furniture; it’s because I purchased the Quadremesher for Blender and manually changed some models from 500 000 vertices to around 20 000, while keeping the 1024x1024 textures 2048x2048 normal-maps some Phong, Rim properties in the .vmt processor of the texture image. I created only 3 particles for this video, one of them being the HD tear droplet that Gabe Newell sheds - my library of around 350 particles (150 being on my Patreon) combined with my library of around 600 models (terrain, foliage, buildings, furniture prominantly featured here) are time-savers due to my good work-habit of the Vault-Strategy - to put it simply, when I create something, I always invision returning back to it some day with the desire to use it and save it in an appropriate place. As for the future of HoovyTube, now that my Patreon became as active as my YouTube channel thanks to my Skibidi Bros - I can create the passion project I dreamed about since I was around 14; being more clear-headed now I think I’m now up to that task. Wish me luck. ⚜️ Patreon: 🔱 Discord: ⚜️ X/Twitter: 🔱 Reddit: ⚜️ IG: 🔱 TikTok: @hoovytube ⚜️ SFM Tutorials:
