Alexander Popov, USSR

Alexander Popov was one of the most promising Soviet athletes of the 100KG and 110KG classes in the 1980s. The footage shows his successful lifts in the 110KG class at the 1988 Olympics. Popov just recently stepped up a weight class from the 100KG class to the 110KG. He finished the tournament with the 420KG total ( ) and won the fifth place this time.
