#31 Basket Weave Illusion Effect

The Basket Weave Illusion Effect Hi This is my first attempt at trying out the basket weave illusion effect - applied to a small platter. As a regular reader of Woodturning magazine, I was intrigued and inspired to have a go at this after seeing an article featuring Michael Alguire, who uses this technique. This is by far the most complex and time-consuming project I have undertaken so far. I am really pleased I gave it a try and I am extremely happy with the result. I will definitely apply this technique on other projects but I am not sure I would undertake such a lengthy project again!
