The Proclamation of the Irish Republic - Countess Markievicz

The proclamation of the Irish Republic was read on the steps of the GPO at the start of the 1916 Easter Rising by Paidraig Pearse. This is a reenactment as if it had been read by Countess Markievicz, another equally strong Irish nationalist, who took part in the rising. Performed by Susan O Sullivan, for UCC Philosoph.
