True Blood // Bill Compton + Sookie Stackhouse // Dynasty (HBO)

*sigh* The journey of Sookie Stackhouse and all her wild adventures is quintessential summer to me. When warm weather struck, the new book in the series and a new season of True Blood on HBO would appear. I have so many memories reading while floating in the pool or tuning into a new episode at 9 pm on Sunday nights with ice cream. So in a nostalgic mood, I’ve been rewatching some of the show and also reread the first book. I dunno if I’ll reread ALL of them - but revisiting the world of Bon Temps is actually a great way to take my mind off things in this very crazy year. Also, I realize most people HATE Bill/Sookie. And I did for a LONG time. It wasn’t till book 10 that I started to appreciate Bill in the series and on the show? Season 4 on I had a whole different take on him as well. (Largely because of Stephen Moyer’s portrayal and Alan Ball’s commitment to creating a more 3-dimensional storyline for Bill.)
