#construction #lordoftherings #fireplace I decided to build an outdoor, gas fireplace, on the front of The Lord of The Rings inspired Hobbit Hole I’m building. It“s made from old chimney brick, river rock, cinder block, mortar, a chimney pot from a Victorian era building and brick my wife dug up out of the back yard. The gas element was purchased from Amazon and was meant to be used for a fire table or fire pit but I modified it to work in this outdoor fireplace. I was shocked to learn just how much work was involved. I was thinking this project would 3 weeks in my spare time and it ended up taking 2 months!
