More info: Short video about the project Body Movies (2001) by Rafael Lozano Hemmer. Projected at the Pathe Cinema at the Schouwburgplein in the Rotterdam. This interactive installation plays with the shadows of the people walking by, making the square transform. Inspired by “The Shadow Dance“ (1675) from Samuel van Hoogstraten. Body Movies is commissioned and produced by V2_ as part of ’Rotterdam cultural capital of Europe 2001’.
