John Frusciante - Hollywood Moguls 6/25/1998

John Frusciante - Hollywood Moguls 6/25/1998 “Neighborhood Threat“ slideshow. Parking lot video featuring John Frusciante, Anthony Kiedis, Toni Oswald, Dave Lee, Ralph Paredes, Rawl Paredes, Danny Flores, Dick Rude and friends outside Moguls parking lot. This was a benefit show called “Waiting for Iggy“ a play by Toni Oswald. John played “Neighborhood Threat“ (heard on this video) and “China Girl“. Later that night Red Hot Chili Peppers played a 3 song set “Loose“, “1970“ and “Search and Destroy“. I took the photos inside with a disposable 35mm camera, as I wasn’t sure they would allow any recording devices into the club. I had taken a fairly large VHS camcorder with me, but left it in the car. I shot a little of the parking lot on video, never fully seen until this day. I remember seeing a lot of video cameras inside, so I’m sure there is footage of this show caught on hoping it would surface these past 24 yet, so I figured I’d get this out there before it’s forgotten or completely lost. The recent Rick Rubin/John Frusciante Broken Record podcasts reminded me I had this footage in my archives. Also, Richard Alan White has been posting his archives of old footage he shot and thought it’s time to release this to the fans. The photos of John and I, and Danny Flores were shot after John’s solo set and before Red Hot Chili Peppers set. There were about 2 or 3 acts in between them, all playing Iggy Pop songs. Bob Forrest and Keith Morris also played a set, Bob sang “Lust for Life“.
