Cai Li Fo The best demonstrations from Choy Lee Fut International Exchange Meeting

Standing and performing in front of a HUGE banner in red with a blazing yellow “WU“ this troupe of Choy Lai Fut players and other practitioners shows off a survey of styles reminiscent of the halcyon days in the States. A group demonstration of CLF basics, Long Staff, the Ball Chi Kung, brick breaking, CLF Saber, also non-CLF forms such as Tiger/Crane, Spear vs. Saber, Twin Tigers Partners, Long Fist, Trident, and a very good horse knife set all make for a nice show. The CLF spear, CLF staff and even the CLF Fang Tian are also presented. Cai Li Fo (also known as Choy Lee Fut) is one of the most popular Chinese martial arts coming from southern China. Created by Chen Heng (Chan Heung) in the middle of 19th century by combining three styles - Fo Jia (Buddhist), Cai Jia (Cai Family) and Li Jia (Li Family) - it shares many principles with Chinese northern styles, stressing importance of softness, relaxation, sudden use of explosive power, wide range of kicking techniques, etc. This video is demon
