Zbava & Zorie - Pǫtь Mьrtvyję Dušę

The first song form the upcoming album. The song is inspired by bludička/rusalka, which in Slavic mythology are the souls of dead women who wander the forests and appear in the swamps, hence the name “Pǫtь Mьrtvyję Dušę“ (the path of the dead soul). The speech in the song and its title are fully in the late Proto-Slavic language, which was a common Slavic language spoken by the Slavs in the 6th - 9th centuries. Since it is a reconstructed language, in some cases we do not know how certain sounds were exactly pronounced. Water flows, wind breathes, trees talk. She walks in the forest all the time. That is the way of the dead soul. Using sounds of traditional and early medieval instruments, live percussions, drums and vocals with combination of little influence of modern music makes Zbava’s production energic, hard-hitting and spiritual at the same time.
