Gdansk Manuscript - Phanthasia Septimi Toni | St. Ignatius Church, Prague
Today I’d like to share with you my rendition of Phanthasia Septimi Toni from the Gdansk Manuscript (1591), edited by Pierre Gouin & Marek Michalak. I recorded it on the delightful Baroque positiv organ at St. Ignatius church in Prague, Czech Republic when Ausra, me and our friends Paulius Grigonis and Vytautas Meskauskas visited it earlier this year. As I understand it, this positiv organ was restored first and they could use it for liturgy when the restoration of the large 3 manual and pedal Emanuel Štěpán Petr organ from 1912 behind it took place. Thanks so much to the organists Jeremy Emanuel Vittek and Martin Maxmilian Kaiser for hosting us!
