Celebrities At Home - Miss Mabel Lucie Attwell (1921)

c 1921 Miss Mabel Lucie Attwell works on a drawing whilst three children stand around her and watch. She is in her garden. Miss Attwell (in private life Mrs Earnshaw) uses her own children and friends as models. The artist stands at her easel as the children pose. C/U of three children - one holds a doll, the other a monkey toy. Boy drops the monkey and elder girl picks it up for him. C/U of boy and his monkey. Mother and children play “ring-a-ring-a-roses.“ They all fall down. Children play with a small carriage whilst mother paints. Father comes out to see what is going on. Peter - one of the children goes up to the easel when mother is away and daubs black paint over the artwork. C/U of the picture being ruined. Child turns and smiles at the camera (he has a huge bow in his hair which to my mind looks strange on a boy!) FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
