Full title reads: “PATHE Super Sound GAZETTE - Exclusively presents the only authentic and official pictures of - THE WORLD’S GREATEST RACE - THE GRAND NATIONAL 1934 - Described by Capt. G. H. GILBEY the famous Racing Journalist of the “DAILY“ & “SUNDAY EXPRESS“.“ Aintree, Merseyside. Pan across the stands packed with people. Horses in paddock, jockeys mount them. Horses leaving paddock. Horses parading to the course. Start of the race - tapes are up and horses start running. Various shots of the race - most of the jumps are shown in slow motion. Masses of people watching the race. Sound disappears at (01:50:40) but returns after a few seconds. Picture disappears at (01:51:40) but also only for a couple of seconds. Picture disappears again at (01:52:00) and reappears at (01:52:16) whilst sound remains. Unfortunately the item abruptly ends at (01:53:07) so the finish of the race is missing.
