[pathe Pictorial Cartoon Competition - Missing Titles] (1921)

No title. An unnamed artist stands at an easel and draws a cartoon. By process of animation we see the cartoon being drawn. I think the artist is “Poy“. The cartoon is of a moustached gentleman sitting on a chair on a pedestal. Over his head is a banner which reads: “Museum of Marvels“. He is exhibit A and a crowd of people look up at him. Two posters on the wall read: “This extraordinary creature 1) has not received the . 2) Has never heard of Mr Bottomley 3) Did not invent the tank 4) Has never been to the pictures.“ Very short segment - story incomplete. Note: not mentioned on tin list. This could very possibly be one of the 10 drawings in the “Pathe Pictorial Cartoon Competition“ - see other items of that name. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
