Henley Regatta Finals (1938)

Henley, Oxfordshire. Various good shots of the Henley Regatta; crowds of people stand on the river banks; others sit in boats and eat picnics. M/S of American Joe Burk winning the Diamond Sculls race. In the Thames Cup the semi-final is between two US crews - Kent School and Yale University; Kent wins and races the London Rowing Club in the final. Kent wins again and the team throws their cox into the water after the race. Note: soundtrack cuts out for a few seconds in the final Thames Cup Race. Old record named this rower as J W Birk.
