Sea Cat (1963)

Portsmouth, Hampshire and Plymouth, Devon. C/U of a soldier in period uniform beating a drum on the deck of a tall ship. Various shots of sailors beneath deck loading and firing canons. L/S of canons firing from hatches on the side of the ship. L/S of a missile being fired from a modern battleship. A sailor in protective clothing presses a button and the missile hits a dummy aeroplane target in the sky. L/S of the battleship. Various shots of the missile - called ’Sea Cat’ - being prepared for launch. Various C/Us of the young sailors looking through telescopes and shouting instructions into radios - all wear white face masks and gloves. C/U of buttons and levers being pressed and pulled.
