Guards Drive To Hastings Aka Old Crocks Hastings Run (1955)

M/S of a mid 1950s contemporary Mercedes with a vintage car (“an old crock“) coming out of a garage behind it. According to the narrator this is going to be a revolutionary experiment - using the motor car for troop transport. Presumably this is a re-enactment of the first transport of troops by car in 1909. Men in the military costume of the day climb into various vintage cars - they are to be transported to Hastings. Various shots of the “soldiers“ climbing in.
