Tornado Alley: DOW 7 - TIV (Tornado Intercept Vehicle)

Discovery Channel’s Storm Chasers featured their IMAX film “Tornado Alley“ for the first time at Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry on March 11-12, 2011. Full tour inside and out of both the DOW 7 (Doppler On Wheels) and the TIV (Tornado Intercept Vehicle). The TIV is able to withstand tornadic wind speeds of up to 250 mph.
