Using Tibetan Dictionaries, with Paul Hackett

Paul Hackett specializes in several aspects of Buddhist studies, including computational linguistics for canonical Buddhist languages such as Tibetan, Sanskrit, and Chinese. He has taught Tibetan language courses at Columbia University, Yale University, and online, and is the author of several books in the field of Tibetan and Buddhist studies, most recently two Tibetan language primer and reference books: “Learning Classical Tibetan: A Reader for Translating Buddhist Texts” (a selection of canonical and post-canonical Tibetan texts with grammatical annotations) and “A Tibetan Verb Lexicon” (the largest comprehensive Tibetan verb dictionary published to-date including numerous phrasal verb forms and example sentences).
