Efficient Technology of Bitumen Storage and Heating

The new age of eco-friendly terminals calls for the use of efficient internal units. The Kupol system of internal heating is an example of such approach. The internal unit makes it possible to carry out two process operations (preheating and high-temperature heating) within the storage tank. Bitumen is discharged straight from the tank onto bitumen trucks or to the process flow. Day-tanks and associated equipment such as pumps, fittings, temperature and level sensors, pipelines, beds, etc. are eliminated, thus cutting down capital costs up to 10% as well as the terminal area.
