Tyulpan self-propelled mortar crew destroying the enemy strongholds In the course of daily combat work, crews of 240-mm high-power self-propelled mortars 2S4 Tyulpan of the Central Military District continue to destroy strongholds and positions with reinforced shelters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Krasny Liman direction. After moving to unprepared firing positions, the mortars fire various types of ammunition, including active-reactive mines at a distance of up to 19 km. Shooting is carried out at the fortifications and personnel of the enemy with constant adjustment by drone operators. Enemy reconnaissance constantly reconnoiters the area and pays special attention to finding and destroying mortar positions, which turn out to be an easy target for delivering an accurate strike. To protect the personnel and the combat vehicle, after a quick series of shots, the servicemen immediately change their firing position and continue to destroy the identified targets. The self-propelled mortar 2S4 Tyulpan is a unique machine with the largest projectile of 240-mm caliber and weighing more than 130 kg. Designed to destroy powerful fortifications, dugouts, buildings and command and observation posts, as well as to destroy accumulations of enemy manpower, weapons and military equipment at a distance of up to 19 km.
