Kenya To Follow Uganda As East African Nations Wage War Against LGBTQ Agenda

Following Uganda’s enactment of one of the most punitive anti-LGBT laws on the planet, Kenya may be prepared to follow suit with a similarly drafted bill that punishes gay sex with prison or, in some cases, death, according to a draft of the law and two legislators who support it in parliament. Similar moves are also being initiated in Tanzania and South Sudan, parliamentarians in those countries told Reuters, revealing for the first time a comprehensive anti-LGBT legislative drive across East Africa. Several East African legislators believe they are fighting a war to save African values and sovereignty, which they claim have been attacked by Western pressure to concede on gay rights. The draft of Kenya’s Family Protection Bill, seen by Reuters, closely resembles the Ugandan law, which was passed by President Yoweri Museveni at the end of May, much to the displeasure of the LGBT community, human rights activists, and Western capitals. For instance, under the proposed Kenyan law, gay sex is punishable by at least ten years in prison, much like the Ugandan law. Similarly, “aggravated homosexuality,“ which includes gay sex with a young or disabled person or when a deadly disease is passed on, is punishable by death. Also, several new crimes like “promoting homosexuality” and allowing gay sex on your property appear in both Uganda’s law and the proposed Kenyan one. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ✅SUPPORT US /AFFILIATE LINKS Use this affiliate link for your purchases at #MIZIZI International - Support our channel - PayPal: newafricachannel(at) Follow us on Instagram - Follow us on Twitter - Join us on Facebook - ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ✅COPYRIGHT DISCLAIMER The New Africa Channel doesn’t fully own some of the materials compiled in its videos.
