World’s First Mikuda (Miku + Coda) Clear | Necrodancer

Small disclaimer I have is that while I did use the “Hatsune Mikuda?????“ mod by jacobsmash1, I also used another mod by Katrina called “Better Mikuda“ that allows Mikuda to pick up and use shovels. At least with just the “Hatsune Mikuda?????“ mod alone, I had a dilemma about this for a while since the mod is conflicting with what Miku is allowed to do compared to Mikuda and also Coda. Hatsune Miku can bump against walls without missing a beat and therefore can safely bump into walls WITHOUT taking a missed beat penalty, while Mikuda wasn’t allowed to as if I were to bump into a wall it would count as a missed beat and therefore die. On top of the modded character giving conflicting ideas on the combination of two characters, I also disagree with vanilla Miku not being able to use even a T1-locked shovel like Suzu can at minimum as it makes level traversal not enjoyable and tedious. Dig buffering on Coda is pretty crucial and Miku can buffer infinitely by just bumping and the mod letting you do neither with Mikuda just doesn’t make sense. So in the end I used the mod to give Mikuda a shovel since while maybe doable without it, shoveless Mikuda is unfun, not enjoyable, and personally doesn’t make much sense to do. If people want to get on me for not beating Mikuda without a shovel then I honestly don’t care, you do it shoveless then. Still super happy with this clear though, especially since it is the first clear.
