SPINNING / BREATHING: EVENT FOR MULTIPLE SUSPENSIONS

The performance was devised for the Oslo Suspension Symposium 2012 by Stelarc with Havve Fjell and Wings of Desire. Five counterbalanced bodies were suspended, turning and spinning on their axis with their breathing amplified. The turning and spinning choreography of the multiple bodies was registered by their sometimes synchronized, sometimes arrhythmic breathing. Three cameras were positioned in the space to monitor and document the suspension process, with an additional hand-held mobile camera. The perfo
