Tchaikovsky: 1812 Overture — Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra (‘self-isolation’ performance, 2020)

To mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day, Vladimir Fedoseyev and the musicians of the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra have prepared a special ‘self-isolation’ performance of Tchaikovsky’s Year 1812 Solemn Overture. With this project, the TSO is also remembering its concert activity during the war: on 3 October 1943, in the midst of the hostilities, the opening night of its 1943/1944 season took place at the Pillar Hall of the Moscow House of the Unions, and the 1812 Overture was the first piece on the programm
