Gaetir The Mountainkeeper - Ór Ymis Holdi

The story is speaking about the creation of the world according to the ancient Norse cosmology. The title can be transled as “Of Ymir’s Flesh“ reffering to the primordial giant Ymir, ancestor of all that walks the Earth, and the Earth itself. Ymir was born from venom that dripped from the icy rivers Élivágar and lived in the grassless void of Ginnungagap. The gods Odin, Vili and Vé fashioned the Earth from his flesh, from his blood the ocean, from his bones the hills, from his hair the trees, from his brains the clouds, from his skull the heavens, and from his eyebrows the middle realm in which mankind lives, Midgard.
