Pretty cool shooter from Taito that puts players in possession of a heavily armed boat/hovercraft and mandates they blow stuff up! The gameplay feels feels oddly reminiscent of Sega’s Thunderblade, which I think is more than coincidence.
Although you can blast through the levels at full tilt, this isn’t necessarily the best strategy. You’ll miss a lot of opportunities to rack up points, and you run the risk of crashing straight into an obstacle or, in the later levels, ships which deploy steel barriers to deliberately slow you down.
One thing to note is that, despite the ability to lock on to targets and shoot down targets with rockets, this is NOT After Burner. There’s no way to replenish missiles other than for completing a level, and the number at your disposal is so limited, they should be used for getting out of tricky situations, rather than
