Radio Moscow 1953

On March 5th, 1953 the leader of the USSR Joseph Stalin died. Before his death Stalin had developed a Cult personality in the Soviet Union whereas everything had to involve Stalin’s name, from Cities to Car Brands every thing was named after Stalin. Everything changed in 1956 when Nikita Khrushchev became the new leader of the Soviet Union and publicly denounced Stalin for being a Dictator and killing millions of Innocents and began to “de-stalinize” the USSR (Ex. Stalingrad became Volgograd)
