At least 1,200 Israelis have been killed in the Hamas attacks, Israel’s public broadcaster has reported. The death toll for Palestinians in Gaza has risen now to at least 900 people, with an additional 4,500 people injured, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have continued their counterattacks on Gaza overnight on Oct. 11. According to Palestinian reports, Israel targeted the home of the leader of Hamas’s military wing, Mohammed Deif. US President Joe Biden has called the Hamas attack on Israel “an act of sheer evil”. Biden said at least 14 Americans were killed in the attack by Hamas on Israel over the weekend.
