Russian Navy undergoes planned drills on deploying fleets and Caspian Flotilla in operational zones
Units and formations of the Russian Navy commenced the planned drills in the operational zones of the northern, pacific, and baltic fleets as well as in area of the Caspian Flotilla responsibility. During the combat drills, up to 300 surface ships and motorboats, submarines and logistic ships, 50 aircraft, more than 200 units of military and special hardware, as well as more than 20,000 servicemen and civilian personnel of the units and formations are deployed during the drills.
For several days, the ships’ crews, the Naval Aviation and coastal units of the three fleets and Caspian Flotilla are to perform more than 300 combat exercises with live fires.
