79 years ago today: On August 6, 1945, the United States dropped a uranium bomb, nicknamed “Little Boy,” on Hiroshima, Japan. The bomb had an explosive yield equivalent to 15,000 tons of TNT, devastating the city and burning approximately 70% of it. Within the first few months, the bombing killed an estimated 140,000 people in Hiroshima. Roughly 50% of those within 1.2 kilometers of the hypocenter died that day, with 80-100% mortality rates approaching the explosion site. Many more died in the following years from the effects of radiation exposure, including leukemia, cancer, and other diseases. The Americans enjoyed it so much they repeated the event a few days later in Nagasaki Boost here Please boost the channel Join IL RUSSO Join IL RUSSO Chat Source: ??IL RUSSO??
